The Climb
F.R.E.D. — Fragmented Recursive Entity Daemon — has to climb from the pipes below all the way up to Mother. There are 9 zones, each with 5 screens. Fall down a screen and you might lose hours of progress. That's the point.
Controls
- ← → or A D — Walk
- Space (hold) — Charge jump
- Space (release) — Jump in the direction you're holding
- E — Interact (FLUX, Mother, lore fragments)
- F — Finish ascent (only at Mother)
- R — Restart from last checkpoint (Wanderer only)
- Esc — Pause
Modes
WANDERER: Auto-checkpoint per zone. You keep your progress when you fall — but zone drops still hurt.
NO-SAVE: One run. No saves. One fatal fall and the climb restarts. Unique achievements unlocked here.
Zones & Physics
Each zone has its own physics. Adapt or fall.
Where is my data stored?
Everything is saved locally in your browser via localStorage. Nothing is sent anywhere. No accounts, no servers.

- slip_settings_v1 — settings (music, language)
⚠ Clearing your browser data will wipe all progress.
Tips
- Hold jump longer to go higher & further.
- You can release jump while leaning the other way — useful for tight wall climbs.
- The lowest platform of each screen is one-way: you drop through from below but land on it from above.
